The 16oz Cheater or Short Shaker tin is traditionally used to cap the 28oz Shaker tin. It sits lower in the 28oz tin than the 18oz shaker and, unlike the 18oz shaker, can be shaken easily in one hand. Both the 16oz and 18oz shakers are known as cheater tins as they can be inverted inside the 28oz shaker tin and used as a strainer.
